A Stylish Escape with Caveats: Candid Thoughts on Cancun Breathless Soul

Our week-long stay at Cancun Breathless Soul, specifically in the Xcelerate Ocean Front King Suite, offered a vibrant and chic experience that catered to the young and trendy crowd. Situated conveniently along the Hotel Zone, with easy access to popular attractions like Coco Bongo and the Xcaret Ferry, the location was ideal for exploring the best of Cancun. From the moment we stepped into the resort, its modern and stylish ambiance was apparent. The colorful decor and contemporary design elements created an inviting atmosphere, that go along with the pulsating beats of techno music that continuously filled the air.

For travelers seeking a tranquil retreat or pristine beachfront, Cancun Breathless Soul may not fit the bill. While our stay at this vibrant resort was filled with lively ambiance and stylish surroundings, there were notable drawbacks that may not appeal to all guests.

Firstly, the beachfront experience left much to be desired. If you’re dreaming of soft sands and gentle waves, you may be disappointed by the shallow waters, presence of sandbars, and the occasional sight of docked boats nearby. For those prioritizing a picturesque beach setting, this may not be the ideal destination.

While the beach may not have been the highlight, the resort tries to make up for it with its pools, there are 2 rooftop options, the Xcelerate pool which is open to all is more of a party vibe with techno music playing throughout the day. There is also another a rooftop option for those seeking an elevated experience that you can pay to upgrade to for their Xhale Club. Their lower-level energy pool consists of multiple loungers and games/activities that go on throughout the day.

When it came to dining, the experience was a mixed bag. While the Italian and Mexican restaurants fell short of expectations, there were standout options that delighted our taste buds. The Teppanyaki Table provided a thrilling and delicious experience, while Fish Nets, despite its misleading name, offered mouthwatering steak dishes that left us wanting more. Additionally, Silk City, though not a personal favorite, impressed my husband with its offerings. And to our surprise, the Spoon buffet exceeded our expectations, showcasing a variety of tasty dishes that satisfied even the pickiest of eaters. As for the drinks, my go to is typically Captain Morgan and Diet Coke, there were several times that my drink tasted “off” and I had to dump it out. Each time I ordered a frozen drink those were served well and never tasted out of the ordinary.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, and throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their dedication and hard work truly made our experience memorable, and they deserve commendation for their efforts.

In conclusion, Cancun Breathless Soul offers a vibrant and lively atmosphere that is perfect for bachelorette/bachelor parties, birthdays, and weddings. While there were some shortcomings, particularly with the beach, drinks, and certain dining options, the overall experience was positive and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, stylish and high energy getaway in Cancun.
